"ILHIA" is about exploring ourselves in our daily lives. The inspiration is the rising sentiment of being a citizen with no apparent links and belonging to one particular culture or nationality. The documentary is active cooperation between the subject and the director, discovering and letting things happen naturally—witnessing a previously formed but not entirely intimate relationship.

For this, I chose to contact Sharon Owen, my previous landlady. A British national who has lived in Porto now for quite some time. I filmed us for 3 days, just witnessing as the days went along.
